Brandon’s musical history can be traced back to the very beginning. When he was still in the womb I was playing shows and Brandon began his early life being carted from concert to concert. In looking back in his baby book, one of Brandon’s first phrases that he said was “play it the drums”. This long-standing interest has really become a reality for him over the past year. From ages 6-14, most of Brandon’s extra curricular time was spent playing sports and he became a high level downhill ski racer, which took up the majority of his time. He started to show interest in the guitar when he was 12 and moved away from home to live in a ski academy. He started teaching himself to play via the internet and whenever he was home and his Uncle William’s drums were set up for band practice, Brandon would hammer away on them.

As of late Brandon has given up skiing and is spending a lot of his time developing his interest in music. He continues to be self-taught in all he does. He plays acoustic guitar with the band primarily, but really loves to play the drums. He now has his own set and we have to listen to all the lovely sounds that come with practicing (and let me tell you, Brandon likes his double kicker and CYMBALS)!

As of late Brandon has been busy playing music with his own friends. In one group he sings lead and the other he plays drums. They are working on a lot of original songs which Brandon is involved in writing. He aspires to be involved in music production of some sort for a career.

Brandon and Brent are our dynamic guitar playing duo in the group. They provide us with lots of laughs during practice and at gigs with their antics and can be seen grumbling together about all the chord changes in the jazz tunes (though I have to say – they can play most of them now!)  Brandon (along with all the young guys in the band) is a great help in set up and tear down and carting gear.
