Hi, welcome to the "Legacy" website. My name is Jared Bunkowsky -- in December, 2006 I turned 18 years old. Music has always been a part of my life. I first started playing piano and taking lessons at age six. Then in grade five I had the opportunity to join the school band I played the clarinet followed by alto saxophone from grade seven throughout high school. During these developing years I remember listening to various bands from our local town.

The church band Koinania came back together to celebrate the 100th Anniversary of the church, the Family Spectrum was usually doing something or Art Karlenzig and Ronnie Karlowsky would breakout the guitar for a song or two. My Dad would also play the tenor saxophone for events or just for fun at home.

All of these factors have influenced my personal music tastes and interests. In the year 2000, Southern Comfort came back together and I started to tag along and play a little bit. From there "Legacy" was formed and now I play quite alot of harmony on my saxophone, as well as foxtrots and blues on my clarinet. My instrument list has expanded to include bass guitar and recently acoustic guitar.

Currently, I am in first year at the University of Manitoba studying Engineering. In the summer I enjoy helping my parents on our family grain farm. Other interests are playing music of course, playing in an intramural volleyball league at the University of Manitoba, playing basketball in a city league, fishing, hunting and spending time with friends and family. Music is a very big part of my life, and playing in the band is loads of fun, it can only get better with time.
